As our economy grows in the metropolitan regions of our state, too many communities are getting left behind in rural North Carolina. Dan Blue believes we must work diligently to invest in rural North Carolina -- making sure our neighbors in eastern and western NC have a future that will offer a sustainable economy.

"I grew up in rural North Carolina. I know how important farming and agribusiness are to these regions. We cannot be a strong state if we ignore the needs of our rural regions. That means we must work with local leaders to support their infrastructures by investing in water-sewer projects and expanding high-speed internet to these underserved areas."

Our state depends on the success of our agricultural sector. It is critical that we work to ensure their success for future generations."
